Reader’s Digest Collage #4: Toy Soldiers

The illustration is pulled from an old, mildewy Reader’s Digest condensed book that my library was throwing out. The stickers are from Stickertopia: The Museum (which uses art by Katie Wilson and Julianna Swaney).

From what I could tell from other illustrations and some abbreviated skimming, the story this illustration comes from seems to have been about a sad boy with home troubles. So I made his toy soldiers extra cheerful.
